Parody

In Support of the Immigration Ban parody

In this week’s post, journalist Alexander J. Cullen has finally spoken his valuable and precious views that sophistically and intelligently explain why banning six entire nations is a smart and progressive action taken by the United States of America!

Thank god! The USA has now banned the terrorists from entering our nation and causing havoc! President Donald Trump has ensured that the United States will no longer endure any terrorist attacks again. So how did he solve this exactly? He decided to ban the innocent civilians that DO NOT actually partake in these acts of terrorism, but are also the victims of these acts.

Just to give a bit of context on the travel ban, On 27 January President Donald Trump signed an executive order halting all refugee admissions and temporarily barring people from seven Muslim-majority countries including Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. But Trump is adamant this isn’t a Muslim ban, “To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting. This is not about religion — this is about terror and keeping our country safe”. So there’s obviously no correlation between the two!

“I cannot accept those who behead and crucify Christians, call for a second Holocaust, abuse women horrifically, or treat with great violence those who do not adopt the same beliefs. The bystanders who fail to condemn these practices commit no lesser sin, and neither the actors nor the silent spectators will edify the liberalism that defines our nation—to deny this conclusion signifies either ignorance of atrocity or arrogance in refusing to recognize it”. It’s refreshing to read an article that clearly highlights their reasoning for support the idea of immigration ban!  “The bystanders who fail to condemn these practices commit no lesser sin” So the Muslim citizens living in the US are just in the wrong as the terrorist? But let’s quietly just state there have been over one thousand terrorist attacks in the USA in the past five years. Take a guess at what percent of those terrorists were Muslim. Wrong, now guess again. It’s less than 2%.

Rationale:
The article chosen was an opinion column by Alexander J. Cullen that discusses his support for Donald Trump's  controversial immigration ban. The response was a parody, using statists and elite figures like Donald Trump in constructing the parody. Additionally, the satiric tone was constructed by the continuous controversial quotes by Donald Trump. The use of Elite nations involving the USA and other nations were used.
